Membership Fees

United Electric Co-op, Inc. (United Electric) sets specific prerequisites for services. This includes a $100 membership fee, which can be conveniently divided into $20 payments over 5 months, with an additional one-time $5 billing fee, for those who prefer not to pay the full amount upfront.

United Electric offers a prepay option for members. Instead of receiving a monthly bill based on usage, individuals using the prepay option make payments before consuming the service. This approach provides greater flexibility and control for members, allowing them to manage and budget their expenses more effectively.

For individuals who favor the conventional utility billing method of receiving a monthly statement, a $200 security deposit fee is mandatory. Unless you provide a credit letter from your previous utility company demonstrating a clean payment history for the last 12 months with no late fees or disconnects.
