Heat Pump Rebates
Contact us or submit the form below before starting the project to determine eligibility.
Air Source Heat Pumps:
Air source heat pumps extract heat from the air and pump it either inside or outside to heat or cool your home. They require centralized ductwork to spread the conditioned air throughout the house.
To qualify for a rebate: A new heat pump installation must be installed in a home primarily heated with an electric forced air furnace. The new air source heat pumps must be AHRI tested and certified; manufacturer claims of “equivalent to AHRI certified equipment” will not be accepted. Rated as having a HSPF2 and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER2) that meets federal minimum standards according to the AHRI certificate. HSPF2 and SEER2 apply to units manufactured after January 1, 2023 based on DOE’s change to the national standard testing methodology. If a unit was manufactured before January 1, 2023, it must meet the current federal minimum efficiency standard for HSPF and SEER per the AHRI certificate.
Rebate Amount:
- $1,250 for electric forced air furnace conversion to heat pump.
- $1,560 for electric forced air furnace conversion to variable speed heat pump.
- $600 for existing air source heat pump upgrade to variable speed heat pump.
