Variable Frequency Drives

Variable Frequency Drive Centrifugal Pumps

This rebate requires the addition of a VFD to an existing, fixed-speed, centrifugal-style irrigation pump. This measure applies to pumping operations that deliver, distribute or transport irrigation water with qualifying VFDs from 7.5 to 1,000 hp. Eligible installations are limited to pumps with substantial variation in head pressure requirements (20 percent variation or more). Untied Electric requires that all new VFD installations meet the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 519 harmonics standard. Rebates are based on HP and historical pump use.

Variable Frequency Drive for Turbine Pumps

This measure applies to pumping operations that deliver, distribute, or transport irrigation water with qualifying VFDs from 7.5 to 1,000 hp. Eligible installations are limited to turbine pumps with substantial variation in flow rates (20 percent variation or more) or discharge pressure requirements (10 percent variation or more). Untied Electric requires that all new VFD installations meet the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 519 harmonics standard. Rebates are based on HP and historical pump use.

Variable Frequency Drive for New Pumps

Eligible installations are limited to pumps designed for substantial variation in flow rates (20 percent variation or more for turbine pumps) or discharge pressure requirements (10 percent variation or more for turbine pumps, or 20 percent variation or more for centrifugal pumps). Untied Electric requires that all new VFD installations meet the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 519 harmonics standard. Rebates are based on HP and historical pump use.

Rebate eligibility varies by individual circumstances.  Please contact Chris Seibold for project approval and information.
