Electric cooperatives are not-for-profit, community-led utilities. Because we are a co-op, we can adapt to our local members' needs, providing the programs and services you care about most. That's the power of co-op membership.
National Co-Op Month
Why do we love October? Because it’s National Co-op Month! This is a time to truly celebrate the many aspects that set co-ops apart from traditional businesses. More importantly, Co-op Month is a time to celebrate you, the members of the co-op.
United Electric (UEC) is serving cookies in the front office Monday, October 7, through Friday, Oct. 11. Stop by, say hi, and get a cookie.
Energy Assistance
South Central Community Action offers federally funded energy assistance to eligible households. For more information or to make an appointment, contact South Central Community Action in Burley at (208) 678-3514.
Applications for emergency assistance from the Salvation Army’s Project Share program are also administered through South Central Community Action.
If you do not need assistance but would like to support Project Share, mark the box on your monthly billing statement to add $1 to your utility payment. Many local families receive heating help because UEC members keep contributing.
Social Media
Make sure to like United Electric’s Facebook page and follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, which can be accessed from the United Electric website. Following us on social media helps keep you up to date on power outages and other important news and events.
