Thanksgiving Closure
The United Electric office is closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28.
Emergency crews are on call, if needed. In case of an outage or emergency, the after-hours number is (208) 679-4444.
2026 Calendars
The 2026 calendars will be available at the end of November. Stop by the UEC office to pick up yours.
Mitten Tree is Back
As we have done in years past, United Electric will collect mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, socks, and coats to be distributed to children in need of warm winter apparel. Items can be bought or handmade, but all should be new and unused.
We will also have a grocery cart out for donations of staple food items to supplement supplies at local food pantries.
Items always in demand are macaroni and cheese, pasta and sauce, canned veggies and fruit, peanut butter, soups, chili, and stew. Be sure to check expiration dates before donating.
This year, consider items a child can prepare on their own after school or on a weekend, when there is no adult to provide a meal, such as food that can be easily microwaved or eaten cold. Microwaveable soups and noodles or individual servings of fruit, applesauce, pudding, and cold or instant cereals can also satisfy a hungry child during a long weekend.
Notice to Irrigators
Pump panels are left energized year-round.
The regular irrigation season of the cooperative is April through October and will be billed according to the current rate schedule.
A seasonal disconnect fee of $150 on irrigation services may be assessed as determined by the cooperative.
Irrigation services will not be billed from November through March unless more than 10 kilowatt-hours of energy are used in that month. Verify pump panel disconnects and variable speed drive controls are off to protect your equipment and avoid unnecessary charges.
If you need to have a pump disconnected to perform work, call the office at (208) 679-2222 to schedule the work. Verify the pump panels are deenergized before performing work.
