Mitten Tree, Food Collection and Employee’s Holiday Giving

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of United Electric Co-op members, our mitten tree was loaded again during the holiday season. Your donations will help children stay warmer this winter.

We delivered hats, gloves, scarves, coats, socks and afghans to local elementary schools and senior centers. Members also donated grocery items that were delivered to local church food banks. Thank you again for giving this year.

Are You or a Member of Your Household on Life Support?

Occasionally, United Electric must perform maintenance on power lines and equipment, which may require a planned power outage. Although this is a hindrance to all members, it is especially hard on those who require life support. If you or a member in your household is on life support, please notify us by calling (208) 679-2222. We will make a note on the member’s file to ensure they receive a phone call when an outage is planned.

Not all outages can be planned and may last longer than expected. United Electric strongly recommends members on life support maintain a sufficient backup supply of medical equipment that may be needed in times of outages.
