Holiday Closures
United Electric closes at 11:30 a.m. December 24 for Christmas Eve. The office is also closed December 25 to 26 and January 1 to 2.

Annual Meeting News & Member Appreciation Event

2 board positions are up for election. Petitions to run for the board are available in the office on January 5 and must be filed by 11:30 a.m. February 13.
Mitten Tree is Back
United Electric is once again collecting mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, socks, and coats to be distributed to children in need of winter apparel. Items can be bought or handmade, but all should be unused.
In addition to accepting new winter clothing items, we are also accepting donations of nonperishable food to be given to local food banks and shelters. Suggested items are ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese, pasta, spaghetti sauce, cereal, canned meats, chili, soup, and vegetables. Items always in demand include small bags of sugar and flour, beans, rice, canned milk or cartons that don’t require refrigeration, pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter, jelly, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.
Be sure to check expiration dates before donating. Food banks cannot distribute expired goods.
Safety Demonstrations
United Electric encourages safe practices around electricity for members and employees. Education is the key. Upon request, United Electric provides free safety demonstrations for schools, civic organizations, and emergency personnel.
