Annual Meeting Minutes: United Electric Cooperative (UEC) held an Annual Meeting Member Appreciation event on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Century Stadium 5 in Burley.
Members had the choice of 3 different movies, along with a short UEC video. Members were handed 1 goody bag per membership and entered into a prize drawing that took place on Monday, March 18, 2024. Each person was provided 1 pop and 1 popcorn.
There were 176 registered members and 381 total attendees.
The annual business reports from UEC Board President Dean Nielsen and General Manager Michael Darrington were given on Monday, March 18, 2024, before the regular board meeting. The reports were recorded and posted on the UEC website on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. They were available for viewing until April 30, 2024.
The election results were provided following the annual business reports by attorney Lance Loveland. No votes were cast in the Cassia or Minidoka districts, as there was only 1 candidate who filed to be elected to the board in each county. The applying incumbents, Brent Bowen from the Cassia District and Dean Nielsen from the Minidoka District were elected by rule.
On Monday, March 18, 2024, the prize drawing took place and members were notified by phone. The grand prize, Lagoon Tickets, was won by Ty F. Hoyt.
