United Electric Co-op, Inc. (United Electric) provides its members choices to offset their energy needs with their own on-site renewable generation. This policy sets forth the requirements for members to interconnect on-site generation up to 25 kilowatts (kW) to the distribution grid. Members have the choice to remain connected to United Electric’s system and draw energy whenever their on-site generation is not producing power or producing enough power to meet their needs. If the members on-site generation can produce more energy than they need, the member may be credited for the power through the Net Metering process. This arrangement requires a Net Metering facility and an approved agreement with the cooperative and compliance with the following conditions:
